Open CASCADE Technology will be presented at Open Source Summit in Paris

Open Cascade will showcase its open-source 3D geometrical toolkit - Open CASCADE Technology on Capgemini stand C04 during two days of Open Source Summit which will be held in Paris on December, 10 and 11. The name says it all – the event will be centered on free and open source solutions which in recent years drive significant growth, productivity and competitive advantage. 

5,000 participants, 150 exhibitors, 400 conferences – these are key figures of this year’s event and it promises to be successful and fruitful. The participants will expose technological innovations in the fields of artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, embedded software & IoT, data management, development and emerging machine languages, business applications, web, e-commerce, mobile devices, etc.

Open Cascade will be featured by Open CASCADE Technology and a number of applications and software built on it. 

Open CASCADE Technology (OCCT) is an open-source object-oriented set of C++ class libraries with more than 20 years of history. It is designed for rapid production of sophisticated domain-specific CAD/CAM/CAE applications. Open CASCADE Technology is rich in tools for creating and modifying 2D and 3D geometry and subsequently building parts on it; the library allows creating elementary building parts, solid parts, surfaces, as well as using boolean operations, fillets, chamfers, shells, drafting and making basic visualization. It is distributed under LGPL v. 2.1 license and can serve as an indispensable tool for developing both commercial and open-source solutions. Open CASCADE Technology is driven by powerful and ever growing community of Open Cascade and independent developers who contribute new codes, add and evolve features, do bug fixing.

Open CASCADE Technology version 7.4.0 was released recently. The release includes more than 500 improvements and corrections over the previous release 7.3.0.
