An other problem with OCC installation

Hi,
I am installing OCC5.1 on Mandrake 9.0
after to have made "./configure --with-tk=/usr/lib --with-tcl=/usr/lib --with-gl-include=/usr/include --with-gl-library=/usr/X11R6/lib
--with-java-include=/usr/java/jdk1.3.1_06/include --with-dps-include=/usr/X11R6/include --with-dps-library=/usr/X11R6/lib --with-xmu-include=/usr/X11R6/include/X11 --with-xmu-library=/usr/X11R6/lib --prefix=/usr/local"

I have 3,2 GB of free space on my HD,
I make "make", this commando conpila the library, until when it returns "not space on device" or "illegal seek", filling up the HD.
I would want to know if I mistake in some passage or if for the compilation of OCC and the tools, they are demands more 3.2 GB of free space.

On redhat 8 for me it took just bit more than 5GB of free space to build.
