Mission
- Development of a new version of CIGAL, an in-house application developed at Alcatel Space for thermal calculations and for constructing of radiative models. Provide an integrated tool to engineers.
Solution
- Development of CIGAL 2, an application combining a virtual CAD model with the CORATHERM in-house solver to perform thermal analysis of spatial radiation on a future satellite. CIGAL 2 models the satellite under study, prepares entry data files for the CORATHERM solver, then displays the results after calculation.
Benefits
- Reduction of analysis model preparation time thanks to a greatly improved meshing function.
- CIGAL 2 enables establishing a link with outside CAD applications.
- High modularity will allow meeting future Alcatel Space needs for the treatment of 3D volumes.
