Updated compilation scripts

Could someone at Matra go through the compilation scripts for one platform (preferably Linux) and make sure all of the scripts are up to date and correctly build the targets? I'm trying to come up with something better, but the scripts that are currently in CVS are not a good model.
Here's an example:

These two scripts are EXACTLY the same, so they couldn't possibly build to different targets.   They are also both at version 1.1, so the never have worked.
