SALOME platform is an open software framework for integration of numerical solvers in various physical domains. The CEA and EDF use SALOME to realize a wide range of simulations, which typically concern industrial equipment in nuclear production plants. Among primary concerns are the design of new-generation reactor types, nuclear fuel management and transport, material ageing for equipment life-cycle management, and the reliability and safety of nuclear installations.
To satisfy these challenges, SALOME integrates a CAD/CAE modeling tool, industrial meshing algorithms, and advanced 3D visualization functionalities.
