Open Cascade representatives attended EMO Hannover 2019
The world’s leading trade and exhibition for metalworking EMO 2019 was held in Hannover, Germany from 16 to 21 September. The event gathered major industry representatives from 150 countries. "Smart technologies driving tomorrow's production!" - this is how the theme of this year’s exhibition sounds – and probably it clearly reflects the key idea of the current state of metalworking industry. Today production and manufacturing are very dependent from smart software products, robotic solutions and digital innovations which help fully automate the whole process from product prototyping until going it to the market.
EMO Hannover 2019 is a good place to initiate business and support existing contacts at a single location. Pavel Durandin, Machines and Metrology Business Lead in OpenCascade attended the event as a visitor and shares his experiences:
“We were glad to meet our customers with whom we have ongoing projects and were able to discuss further steps of collaboration. By the way, metalworking is one of the priority industries for OpenCascade, as here our expertise in 3D computations and processing are in demand. No matter what is the source of 3D data: CAD models, mesh, laser scanned objects, computed tomography, OpenCascade solutions are applicable for 3D data integration and manipulation. We help our clients to compute tool paths for classical and laser tools, make accurate measurements, execute tolerance analysis, plan assembly process and share comprehensive work instructions. Dare I say it, democratization of 3D is not a myth any more due to modern IT technologies and unique Open Cascade's platform on which our solutions are based."
